No GTA. \*\*Letter of Experience from previous Commercial insurance company showing any accidents and more than 3 years of Commercial insurance history.\*\* CVORA (Commercial Vehicle Operator Record Abstract) from Service Ontario *Job Title:* Truck Driver AZ *Reports To:* Transportation Manager *Job Overview:* The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient and timely delivery of chicks, eggs, and supplies to and from the hatchery and industry partners locations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the health and quality of the chicks during transit, while adhering to all transportation, biosecurity, and animal welfare protocols. *Responsibilities:* * Safely operate company trucks to transport live chicks, eggs, and hatchery-related goods to farms and customers across Ontario. * Follow all Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations, company safety standards, and biosecurity protocols. * Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance. * Ensure proper handling and care of live chicks and eggs during loading, transport, and unloading, minimizing stress and injury. * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of trucks to prevent contamination and support disease control efforts. * Keep accurate delivery logs and documentation, including daily driver logs via ELD in compliance with Hours-of-Service regulations. * Communicate effectively with hatchery staff, the Transportation Manager, and farm contacts regarding delivery schedules and special instructions. * Report any vehicle issues, delays, or incidents promptly to the Transportation Manager. * Assist with loading and unloading of cargo when required. *Qualifications:* * Valid Ontario AZ Class Driver License with a clean abstract. * Must have proof of 3 years MINIMUM of commercial insurance coverage * Previous experience in agricultural or livestock transport preferred, especially with live poultry. * Ability to drive manual transmission * Understanding of biosecurity protocols and animal welfare practices. * Ability to lift repetitively * Strong time-management and communication skills. * Must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working early mornings or flexible hours. *Work Environment:* * Exposure to dust, noise, feathers, and live animals * Warm and humid or cool environments depending on the hatchery section * Strict biosecurity and hygiene standards (e.g., uniform changes, disinfectant use) *Job Types: Full-time, Permanent* *Salary:* $31-34 per hour *Benefits*: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * RRSP match * Vision care *Work Location*: In person Pay: $31.00-$34.00 per hour Benefits: * Company pension * Dental care * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Language training provided * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * Paid vacation * RRSP match * Vision care Work Location: In person- Location Stratford, ON
