We are committed to putting *employees first*, creating a workplace where people grow, feel supported, and take pride in their work. *Job Summary* We?re looking for a skilled and safety-driven *AZ Dump Truck Driver* to join our *asphalt and paving operations team*. This is a *local, short-haul position* ? no long-distance routes or overnight travel. You?ll transport *asphalt, aggregates, granular materials, and clean fill* between job sites across Ottawa while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and reliability. Working closely with our paving crews, you?ll help ensure smooth, on-time deliveries that keep our projects running efficiently. *Key Responsibilities* * Operate *tri-axle dump trucks* to haul asphalt, aggregates, salt, snow, and other paving materials. * Load and unload materials safely and efficiently at plants, yards, and job sites. * Support *asphalt paving operations* by ensuring timely and proper material delivery. * Perform daily *pre-trip and post-trip inspections* and maintain accurate logs. * Keep trucks clean, organized, and compliant with all *MTO and safety regulations*. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and paving crews. * Assist with basic equipment movement or other site duties as required. *Qualifications* * Valid *AZ license* (required). * Minimum *2 years of dump truck driving experience* in asphalt or construction. * Experience *hauling asphalt or aggregates* (strong asset). * Solid knowledge of *Ottawa-area roads and job site operations*. * Ability to perform *basic truck maintenance and safety checks*. * Reliable, punctual, and focused on safety at all times. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. *What We Offer* * Competitive *base pay with performance bonuses and incentives*. * Opportunities for *career advancement and professional development*. * A *supportive, family-oriented team culture*. * Work with a *trusted, recognized brand* known for quality and reliability. *Join Black Tar and help us pave the way to continued success.* Apply today and become part of one of *Canada?s most respected asphalt paving companies*.
